The Trio

The Noam Blat Trio is an original world music band drawing its unique sound from a combination of traditions and musical styles. Led by Noam Blat, an Israeli born singer songwriter writing intricate dynamic compositions and songs with strong Middle Eastern and Indian flavours. Blat, a multi-instrumentalist with a unique and expressive voice, writes and sings in both Hebrew and English.

After the release of his debut album “The Wind” Noam joined forces with Chilean born percussionist Sebastian Orellana and bass player Rowan Gooley.

Sebastian Orellana, a graduate of the Victorian College of the Arts, plays an array of percussion instruments, specializing in the rhythms and musical traditions of Latin America and Spain. He has been working with bands such as San Lazaro, Son Tres, Kimbaya and many more, and is featured on recordings by many established artists.

Rowan Gooley draws inspiration from funk, jazz, electronica and other styles of contemporary music. From a young age, Gooley has performed with a diverse range of musicians, playing many styles of music. A dynamic and versatile player who has shared his talent on stage and in the studio with bands such as: Heart Tribe, Turnball Sessions, The Rhythm Family and more.

Together the Noam Blat Trio presents new arrangements to original material along side traditional music from various cultures a seamless fusion of the old and the new and a trans global musical journey.
